PHED Board of Directors

Dr. Ransome Owan, Chairman, PHED Board was the Pioneer Chairman and CEO of the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC), Director of Regulatory Affairs at Washington Gas Energy Services (WGES, Virginia, USA) and Senior Energy Analyst at Race Global & New Jersey Transit (USA).


Oghens Dickens Sanomi, Vice Chairman, PHED Board, currently an Executive Director and CoFounder of Traleveras group of companies, an internationally recognized Energy and power conglomerate with offices in London, Geneva, Cape Town, Dubai, Ivory Coast and Nigeria. Upon completion of his Bachelors in Science degree in Accounting from rutgers, The State University of New Jersey U.S.A Mr. Oghens Sanomi worked briefly as a staff Auditor and then Tax Compliance officer. In 2004, he joined Taleveras Group as a Shareholding director primarily managing the financial operations of Taleveras Group.


Engr. Matthew Edevbie, FNSE Managing Director/CEO at Income Electrix Limited, as well as being Chairman of a number of Nigerian Companies, including Consolidated Investment Limited and Kevtrics Nigeria Limited.

He holds a BEng degree and is a fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers, Council of Registered Engineers of Nigeria, Nigeria Power Forum, and Enterprise Development Services (EDS) of the Lagos Business School, among others.


Dr. Awa Ibraheem, is Chairman and CEO of ICMA Service Limited. he is also a Director of Express Portfolio Services Limited, Prime Metro Properties Limited, Afro Commerce (WA) Limited and HF Shrider (WA) Limited. Dr. Ibraheem has a background in auditing and tax planning. He has worked at various firms including Chartered Accountants Olusola & Co. and as Assistant General manager (Finance & Accounts) at the new Nigeria Development Company (UNDC), Kaduna. He is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management, CIMA, CITA, ACIS and holds a BSc (Accounting), an MBA (Finance) and a PhD in Management Science.


HRM King A. J, Turner, is Chairman of the Universal Basic Education Commission and of the Bayelsa Oil Co Limited. He is a Member of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (MFR) and a Justice of the Peace (JP) He holds a BSc in History.


Alex Okoh, an Alumnus of Harvard Business School, is currently Director General, Bureau of Public Enterprises,BPE, Nigeria. The BPE is the agency of the Federal Government of Nigeria with responsibility for the reform of State owned Enterprises in Nigeria privatization, commercialization and concesssioning. He was until his appointment in April 2017,the Managing Partner,Ashford & McGuire Consulting firm LTD,a leading consulting firm with a strong focus on Business Strategy and Transformation, Human Capital Development Advisory Services.


Abdullahi Ibrahim Halilu, a Bachelor of Science Holder in Economics from the Ahmadu Bello University is an Executive Director, Gongoni Group of Companies, manufacturers of insecticides and household items from 1996 till date. The onetime Special Assistant to the Minister, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Abuja has served in various capacities in Kano, his home state and currently is the Deputy Chairman, Board of Trustees Malaria Care Foundation, Kano, since 2009.


Dr. Henry Ajagbawa, is the Chief Executive Officer. He holds a Bachelor and Masters Degree in Economics from the University of Lagos, a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigerian, and holds a PhD in International Business Management. Dr Ajagbawa has over 33 years of cognate experience spanning across several industries: manufacturing, services, banking and consulting. Dr Ajagbawa has C-suite hands on experience in mergers and acquisitions, project management, and change management. His forte remains organisational resuscitation and renewal
